Lora has been on my personal to do list for some years but never found time or sufficient interest to start with until April this year. Because a friend asked me if I got the same QRM on Lora QRG and if I know MeshCom, it immeadiately came in my focus. Because ISM band devices (Liligo & others) are widerly available with attractive price tags, I ordered some of them from China. Software is widely available as well. After the devices arrivied, I setup several devices for different purposed. Lora APRS iGate (RX only), Lora APRS tracker for my car, MeshCom node device fix at home and a poratable device as well.
Lora APRS is widely used, maybe already more than 2m old style APRS.
MeshCom works well too. However, the number of active MeshCom users in the region is still low, <10. If more Hams would use it, it would become more interesting and useful. Today, it is still very experimental.
